2020 Budget Funds Mandates

On Monday, June 29, Governor Gavin Newsom signed the 2020 State Budget Act (SB 74 and AB 89) into law. SB 74 contains all of the funding promised in the Governor’s Proposed Budget (January 2020) and Governor’s May Revision for SB 90/State-Mandated Cost Annual Claims for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 (all the existing previously paid programs), plus two completely new claims, “Local Agency Employee Organizations: Impasse Procedures II” and “U Visa 918 Form, Victims of Crime: Nonimmigrant Status”
